If the windshield is installed in vehicles manufactured before 1991, the corresponding adhesive should be used, (OEM# 1161780), in contrast to the adhesive for windows up to year 1990 (OEM# 1161785) which is thinner. The window lies slightly lower in the window frame, where the sealing strip seals that are found on the window solidify the seal.
